3 Key Findings from new Colorado Department of Labor Report

Talent remains a leading business challenge in Colorado, however, over the past month, there has been a string of positive movement. A recent press release from the Colorado Department of Labor & Employment highlighted a few data points that highlight promising roads ahead:  

  • CO unemployment remains below 3% for its 10th consecutive month and remains at pre-pandemic numbers.  
  • Private Sector job gains were in leisure and hospitality (~19,200), professional and business services (~17,000), and educational and health services (~5,000)  
  • CO in many categories is outpacing averages in the US:  
    • US Unemployment – 3.6%, Colorado – 2.8% 
    • US Labor Force – 62.5%, Colorado – 68.1%  
    • US Average Hourly Earning – $33.09, Colorado – $35.68
