This update will detail the Arvada Chamber of Commerce programs, resources, events, and engagement efforts that have made an impact for members, investors, and the community over the last quarter.



Increase Business Connection

  • More than 50 members attend the Chamber’s Annual Senior Services Mixer on May 23.
  • The Chamber hosted a New Member Reception in May with over 50 members attending and a Business After Hours with 38 attendees.

Foster Leadership Across the Community

  • On May 3, over 120 volunteers stepped up to help on eight service projects for the Chamber’s inaugural Day of Service. The Day of Service invited business and community leaders to give three hours of volunteer time to help Arvada non-profits and community organizations.
  • On May 9th, the Arvada Chamber hosted the 73rd Annual Awards Luncheon, a long-standing tradition in Arvada recognizing outstanding community involvement, generosity, and overall impact.
  • The Chamber hosted the 2024 Meet Your Community Leaders Luncheon on June 12, inviting nine community leaders from the City of Arvada, Arvada Police, Arvada Economic Development Association, and more, to share updates and answer questions from members.
  • In May, 25 Arvada business and non-profit professionals graduated from the Chamber’s Spring 2024 Leadership Bootcamp. Completed across 12 weeks, this program is designed for current managers or supervisors or anyone looking to move into more of a leadership role in the future.
  • In May, the Chamber announced the release of the “Roadmap for an Inclusive Workplace to help guide business leaders through considerations to foster a more inclusive culture and workplace.
  • The Arvada Chamber launched a Digital Accessibility Tool to make its website more inclusive.

Increase Entrepreneurship Knowledge and Opportunity

  • Nearly 200 business members, investors, board members, elected officials, and community members joined us for the Arvada Chamber and Business Resource Center Grand Opening on June 25. The Business Resource Center is an outcome of our B.O.L.D. 2026 initiative and funding. The space features a variety of business education events, one-on-one business support, and other resources for all businesses to access.

Increase Childcare Capacity

  • In June, the Chamber kicked off our Childcare KAPS Council with 12 business leaders.

Increase Income-Aligned Housing

  • The Chamber announced the Business Housing Advocates Program and released the “Business Housing Advocate Workbook.” This resource is designed to help business leaders understand the impact of housing barriers on the region’s workforce and how businesses can advocate for local, regional, and statewide housing policies and projects.
  • The Chamber provided an Arvada Housing Strategic Plan letter of support at May 20th City Council Meeting.

Grow Your Talent

  • Through the state’s Work-Based Learning Incentive Program, the Arvada Chamber has supported 46 businesses and committed the full $400,000 awarded funding. These businesses are committed to developing varying work-based learning opportunities including paid internships, apprenticeships, and team member upskilling.

Strengthen The Business Environment Through Advocacy

  • Arvada Chamber published a 2024 Colorado Session recap, titled, The 26 Bills Your Business Needs to Know About.”
  • Middle school students from Arvada-area schools competed in the 2024 National Civics Bee regional competition on April 11. The event was hosted by the Arvada Chamber, in partnership with the Colorado Chamber and the Civic Trust of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation.
  • On Friday, April 19, newly elected Arvada Mayor Lauren Simpson delivered the Annual State of the City Address to over 100 attendees inside Revive Church. In the hour speech, Mayor Simpson addressed achievements, issues, and upcoming projects for the City of Arvada.
  • In June, the Chamber hosted the B.O.L.D Policy Changes Forum, hosted by veteran business reporter and current Colorado Chamber of Commerce Vice President Ed Sealover.

Ensure Business Resilience

  • The Chamber hosted a First Aid Training and CPR Certification event and a program on Managing Anxiety and Grief in the Workplace.
