Greater Arvada Chamber Prepares to Navigate Complex Policy Landscape Amid Budget Constraints

As the 2025 Colorado Legislative Session begins, we’re entering a landscape of complex negotiations, with a $1 billion budget shortfall looming over potential legislative actions. At the Greater Arvada Chamber, we’re gearing up with a comprehensive strategy to track and influence critical issues that matter to our business community.

Construction litigation reform tops our priority list, with proposed changes that could reshape our development and insurance sectors. We’re also closely watching the AI bill rewrite, which presents a unique opportunity to balance innovation with necessary safeguards. The ongoing discussions about Labor Peace Act modifications and Pinnacol Insurance privatization add layers of complexity we’re prepared to navigate and offer timely input.

We’re keeping a close eye on energy distribution grid developments, recognizing their potential to impact our local economic landscape significantly. The budget deficit will influence policy decisions, calling for pragmatic, fiscally responsible approaches.

The Greater Arvada Chamber is committed to maintaining a proactive stance throughout this session. We’re aligning our efforts with our pre-defined policy pillars to provide robust advocacy that protects and promotes the interests of our local businesses.

Please join our Advocacy Network to stay informed and offer your crucial feedback on these bills and others that impact our business community. Together, we can shape Arvada’s thriving economic future.

Lobbyist Overview

Did you know the Greater Arvada Chamber has a Lobbyist?

The Greater Arvada Chamber of Commerce contracts a paid lobbyist who actively represents the interests of our local business community at the state capitol based upon feedback from our Advocacy KAPS Council and Advocacy Network. This advocacy is crucial for businesses to thrive, as it ensures their voices are heard in policy-making processes and helps shape business-friendly legislation. This representation is particularly valuable for small and medium-sized companies that don’t always have the resources to advocate on their own. This collective impact is a critical value provided to businesses in Arvada by the Chamber.
