Arvada Chamber and GROW Jeffco Partners Announce Work-Based Learning Workshop Series
in partnership with Jeffco Public Schools and Jeffco Business and Workforce Center, will be hosting a Work-Based Learning Workshop on August 17, 23, and 31. Employers will have the opportunity to participate in this three-part workshop series intended to help you EXPLORE, EXPAND and ENGAGE in cutting-edge work-based learning opportunities.
With the support of work-based learning professionals, you will walk away having created an action plan for creating and/or expanding WBL opportunities at your company.
2023 Colorado Session: 17 Bills Your Business Should Know About
This year’s legislative session saw over 600 bills introduced at the Colorado state capitol. Through the Advocacy KAPS Council, the Jefferson County Business Lobby (JCBL), and consistent outreach to elected officials at all levels of government, the Arvada Chamber took a position on dozens of bills in the 2023 session that will impact Colorado businesses (read our 2023 Advocacy Scorecard here).

Five Takeaways from the State of Transportation
The Arvada Chamber hosted the State of Transportation on July 21 as part of its Community Impact Forum series. Bob Fifer, Deputy Director of Operations at the Colorado Department of Transportation, provided a keynote overview of CDOT updates, challenges, and future plans, followed by a panel of transportation experts.

B.O.L.D. 2026 Team Attends Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives Annual Conference
Members of the B.O.L.D. 2026 team, Kami Welch (President and CEO), Ryan Hecht (Marketing Director) and Kylie Parks (Director of Talent Pipeline Development) attended the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives Annual Conference in Salt Lake City, Utah.
At the conference, Kami was elected to the association’s board of directors and presented on B.O.L.D. 2026 at a session on non-dues revenue strategy. Kylie joined several other chambers on a visit to the Stadler company to learn about its apprenticeship program. Learn more about that visit here.
