Why is the work of this KAPS Council important to you?
I’m not sure how much I can contribute developing a “blueprint” for entrepreneurs, but I certainly have some experience, based on our own trials and tribulations of starting, owning, and operating a small business in Arvada, that may benefit others. As a member of the Chamber of Commerce, and former Board Member, I continue to advocate for small businesses in Arvada, with a focus on those outside of Olde Town. My wife and I have made Arvada our home for the past 11+ years and would like to contribute to the wellbeing of both the businesses and residents of the city we love.

Why is the work of this KAPS Council important to you?
The work of the KAPS Council is crucial to me as a business owner because it provides an opportunity to share the experiences and challenges my business has faced during its growth. Going through growing pains myself, I understand how valuable it is to receive guidance and support from others who have navigated similar paths. By participating in the KAPS Council, I can contribute my insights and lessons learned to help other businesses overcome obstacles and achieve their goals more efficiently.

Why is the work of this KAPS Council important to you?
I grew up with entrepreneurial parents and benefitted from their business savvy my entire life. It wasn’t until I spent about 7 years in the corporate marketing grind that I realized I was raised by a different breed, and the apple didn’t fall far from the tree. I have been with my family’s business since 2019, and now as a licensed real estate broker, I also have needed to build my individual brand separately from theirs. Entrepreneurs have a different kind of drive, passion, and pride in their businesses than most people within a corporate structure do. Small business owners and solopreneurs provide important services to our local communities and face unique challenges that large companies do not. It is extremely important that we support and look out for each other.

As an EOS Implementer, I work with entrepreneurs and their teams and I am an entrepreneur as well so this KAPS Council is near and dear to my heart. I believe the programming and resources that the Arvada Chamber offers to businesses is important, helps them to succeed and also supports them in challenging times.
