Metro-West Advanced Manufacturing Alliance Update: Action Teams and Apprenticeship Incentives

February 21, 2025

February 2025 Update

The Metro-West Advanced Manufacturing Alliance (MWAMA) was formed to provide an opportunity for the industry to come together, discuss trends and opportunities and collectively resolve ongoing challenges.

MWAMA is an industry-led initiative that works with public partners to break down silos and match initiatives to goals. This alliance is free to attend and focused on industry-led initiatives: Workforce Pathway Development, and Industry Community Awareness.

Our recent partnership meeting reinforced the critical need for collaboration in the manufacturing sector. This initiative aims to create a central hub for networking, problem-solving, and regional partnerships to drive industry success.

Get Involved: Join Our Action Teams

To maximize impact, we invite employers to participate in one of our two Action Teams:

  1. Talent Pipeline Management (TPM): This group is launching a six-week Machinist Bootcamp in August in collaboration with Manufacturer’s Edge, Red Rocks Community College, Front Range Community College, Ranum, and Warren Tech. This program will provide direct connections between employers and job candidates. Support to fill enrollment with these programs will come through Jeffco Public Schools, CrossPurpose, and Jeffco Business and Workforce Center.
