Summit Cleaning is a professional residential commercial cleaning company that started in 2018 in an Arvada basement. Today, with over 20 technicians and 350 recurring clients, owner Tetiana Kolcheva credits her business’ fast growth, in part, to the community and leadership development supported by the Greater Arvada Chamber. We talked to Tetiana about how she has maximized her membership and is using her entrepreneurial experience to give back to the business community.
When did you start Summit Cleaning?
“My background is a little bit different. I came from Ukraine to the United States in 2012. In 2018, that’s where this business and this company was born. The business started in the basement of my home.”
What was your goal when you joined the Greater Arvada Chamber as a member?
“I joined the Greater Arvada Chamber in January of 2023. I did not have the initial goal of building connections with other businesses. My goal was to find new clients. As I learned about everything that you offer, I found out there’s so much that’s going to help my business. I started immediately implementing things and attending things.”
How has the Chamber helped grow your business?
“We experienced a lot of fast growth in the past six years since the business was founded and the Chamber has a big role in it. First and foremost, it provided a big community to me. Coming to the United States of America and starting up a business, it’s difficult. It’s sometimes scary. You don’t know what you’re doing all the time. So being able to find the community that provides that support and allows you to root in the town and in the business community and in the people around you: it’s huge. The Greater Arvada Chamber does not stop with business connections, but it also offers continued education. I have taken advantage of numerous resources and databases that you provide on your website and in person.
Where I started in 2018, six years ago, I was by myself, starting to clean houses. Fast forward six years to today, I have this beautiful family of 25 employees. I feel like this growth came with the big support of all of the people around me: my employees, my family, but also the Greater Arvada Chamber. The Chamber gave me the support, the community, and the knowledge that I needed at the time. I’m really grateful for everyone around me and the Greater Arvada Chamber.”
How have you been able to support other businesses?
“It’s been a big pleasure to be able to join the Entrepreneurship KAPS Council in Arvada. As a business owner, I know exactly what businesses are going through at each stage of their business. To be able to join this wonderful group of business owners helped me realize that now I can also give back. Now I can also share my knowledge and share my ideas.”
