Stories of Impact: You be You Coaching

July 22, 2024

You Be You Coaching offers mental fitness coaching to release limitations and self-sabotage to improve mindset, create vision, and level up personally and professionally.

“I love to work with ambitious female entrepreneurs to help them level up their lives by increasing their leadership and working on creating flourishing relationships in their lives,” said owner Kitty Coy.

What was your goal when you joined the Arvada Chamber as a member?

“I first became a member of the Chamber a year and a half ago. My initial goal was to have a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Tranquility Wellness Center. I was just opening up this clinic and had heard from a friend about their beautiful ribbon-cutting ceremony. I was very excited and wanted to raise a lot of awareness about the Wellness Center.

As time went on, Tranquility Wellness Center naturally flourished. I started talking more about my primary business, You Be You Coaching, as I became more involved with the Chamber and attended more events.”

How did the Arvada Chamber help with future goals?

“The Arvada Chamber helped me grow my business through their amazing networking opportunities. I started attending groups like Inspiring Women and Young Professionals, where the relationships I built with group members and Chamber employees were incredibly beneficial. The relationships I’ve built with members of groups like Inspiring Women and the networking groups have been powerful. These connections have become power partners in my business, enabling mutual client referrals.”

What does it mean to be a leader in business and what makes it challenging?

“Being a leader in the community and in business is about being heart-centered and clear about your mission. Leadership starts with leading yourself because if you don’t follow your own instruction, no one else will. It’s crucial to be clear about how you serve yourself and lead yourself.

Another challenge is holding a vision for where your project or business is going and being able to communicate that vision effectively to inspire others to follow you. It’s about taking action on your vision and inspiring others to support you without micromanaging them. That’s the art and mastery of leadership.”

How has the Arvada Chamber helped elevate your role as a leader?

“The Chamber has offered me numerous opportunities to speak in front of other business owners, which I love because I get to share my hard-earned wisdom and education with others. They offered me speaking engagements at events like Inspiring Women, Young Professionals, and Leadership Bootcamp. This has allowed me to pour my passion and mission into the Chamber and provide value to other ambitious entrepreneurs.”

“Speaking about leadership reminds me to fully step into my own leadership. Preparing for presentations gives me the chance to evaluate if I’m embodying the leadership qualities I teach. It’s a way to ensure I practice what I preach and continually improve my leadership skills.”

What is your advice for new Arvada Chamber members?

“I highly recommend working through a Member Action Plan with an Arvada Chamber staff member. This was immensely helpful for me as it allowed me to clearly state my goals and learn about all the resources and support available through the Chamber to help me achieve them.”
