What’s New at the Arvada Chamber of Commerce in 2024

January 02, 2024

As we step into the promising year of 2024, the Arvada Chamber is gearing up for an exciting array of new events and programming that will accelerate the way businesses connect, thrive, and contribute to our community. In this post, we’ll offer a preview of the notable changes and new features that our members, investors, and the community can look forward to from the Arvada Chamber in 2024.

New Events

We are excited to announce additions to our events calendar for members to connect, grow, and engage in issues that impact their business. In addition to our Business After Hours events, we will launch a Business Before Hours series for members to network in the morning. We will also be hosting a new in-person Lunch & Learn series covering a variety of business development topics, a new Entrepreneurship Bootcamp, and are excited to bring back the Marketing Education Series.

The Chamber will host a number of events throughout the year under B.O.L.D. 2026 topic areas, including a Legislative Mid-Session Update, Arvada Housing Tour, quarterly B.O.L.D. Summits, monthly Talent Workshops, and more. Download our 2024 events Save The Dates calendar here.

Bigger, More Accessible Community Impact Forums

Over 900 community members joined us for our monthly Community Impact Forums in 2023. This year, we want to make these critical conversations even more accessible for anyone who would like to attend. In 2024, we will shift to quarterly Community Impact Forums (State of Homelessness, State of the City, State of the Economy, and State of the Region) at a new, later time of 8:00 – 9:30 am. Tickets to these events will now only cost $10, which includes coffee and tea. Join us for a packed house each quarter, starting on January 19 for the State of Homelessness.

Increased Leadership Opportunities

We can’t wait to launch several new groups, programs, and events in 2024 dedicated to fostering leadership in our businesses and the community. These opportunities include a Day of Service event dedicated to volunteering, a Roadmap for an Inclusive Workplace toolkit, and a planning team to help celebrate 100 years as a Chamber of Commerce. Also, following the success of our Non-Profit and Senior Services industry collaboratives, we are thrilled to convene additional industry-specific groups in 2024.

New Resources

Stay tuned in 2024 for toolkits and guides to help your business around employer housing, crime and safety, elections and legislation, and business service providers. We will be launching a Family Friendly Workplace Certification program and a new digital tool to provide businesses with valuable insights into competition benchmarking, customer behavior, local demographics, supplier and partner options, and more. Additionally, we will announce packaged solutions for various member identities, such as Start-Ups, Home-Based Businesses, and Non-Profits, and a member assessment tool to help members access tailor-made benefits.

New Office + Business Resource Center

The worst-kept secret in Arvada is the Arvada Chamber of Commerce will be moving in 2024 to a larger space on the northeast corridor! The new location will allow us to accommodate group meetings, a suite of grab-and-go print materials, in-person business development events, and a Business Resource Center.

A More Robust Team to Serve Our Members and the Community

In the last six months, the Arvada Chamber staff has nearly doubled to nine full-time team members to start 2024. For the first time, we have three staff members wholly dedicated to member outreach, benefits, and programming and three staff dedicated to the B.O.L.D. 2026 initiative. The Arvada Chamber of Commerce is in the midst of a strategic initiative, B.O.L.D. 2026 (Big Opportunities For Leaders To Deliver), focused on improving persistent business challenges that include talent, housing, childcare, and the business environment. We are building a team of tenacious problem solvers who will work to ensure that our talent ecosystem is the strongest in the country by increasing collaboration, aligning performance measures, designing sustainable systems, and sharing best practices. A substantial part of the success of B.O.L.D. will be through Sector Partnerships. Sector Partnerships are partnerships of business leaders, from the same industry and in a shared labor market region, who work with education, workforce development, economic development, and community organizations to address the workforce and other competitiveness needs of their industry.
