The generosity of Coloradans following the Marshall Fire has been incredible, as donation centers are at max capacity with donated items. What those impacted need most now are funds to begin to rebuild their lives. To help meet the immediate need, you can donate to a gift card drive to help families purchase items specific to them quickly and easily.
Arvada Councilmembers Lisa Smith and Lauren Simpson have teamed up with the Arvada Resiliency Taskforce to collect gift cards and ensure they reach those that need them most.
This drive will run for the next two weeks, until Friday, January 14th. Below are the Arvada drop off locations:
Arvada Chamber of Commerce / Arvada Visitors Center
7305 Grandview Ave | M-TH 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Arvada United Methodist Church
6750 Carr St | M-F 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Cards in need are those that help people replace items lost, such as cards to hardware stores, home goods stores, and clothing stores. Restaurants are also in need – as many people currently do not have places to cook.
Thank you in advance, Arvada, for all of your generosity and help!
